"What follows are some classic Gin recipes and some twists on the originals."
Perfect Martini
  • 4 Parts Gin
  • 1 Part Dry Vermouth
Garnish (pick one):
  • 1 Dash Orange Bitters
  • 1 Whole Green Olive
  • 1 Twist Lemon
  • 1 Cucumber sliver

Prepare the cocktail glass by chilling it.

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass. Fill mixing glass with lots of whole ice cubes (lots of ice allows us to control the dilution and get a cold cocktail). Stir till chilled.

Wash the cocktail glass with the vermouth (discard extra if you are working with a quality Gin).

Garnish is necessary and will depend on the gin. The Gin is the star here and The goal of the garnish is to enhance the Gin.

The Last Word
  • 1 Part Gin
  • 1 Part Green Chartreuse
  • 1 Part Maraschino Luxardo
  • 1 Part Lime

Shake/Stir all ingredients with ice then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with fresh thin cut lime wheel or dehydrated one, which will float at top.

Wonderful Wonderful
  • 2 Parts Gin
  • ½ Lime juice
  • ½ Lemon juice
  • 1 Parts Simple Syrup
  • 1 Egg white

First, vigorously shake egg white with ice to create foam. Add all ingredients with ice, shake and then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon twist.

Negroni
  • 1 Part Gin
  • 1 Part Campari
  • 1 Part Sweet vermouth

Vigorously shake all ingredients with ice then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Spray and garnish with a slice of orange.

Negroni Amer
  • 1 Part Gin
  • ½ Part Campari
  • 1 Part Sweet vermouth
  • 1 Part Grapefruit juice

Vigorously shake all ingredients with ice then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Spray and garnish with a slice of orange.

Negroni Amour
  • 1 Part Gin
  • ½ Part Campari
  • ½ Part Aperol
  • 1 Part Sweet vermouth
  • 1 Part Orange juice (optional)

Vigorously shake all ingredients with ice then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Spray and garnish with a slice of orange.

Aviation
  • 60 ml Gin (1 Part)
  • 15 ml lemon juice (.25 Part)
  • 10 ml Maraschino Luxardo (.16 Part or 2 Bar spoons)
  • 5 ml Crème de Violette (Bar spoon)

Stir the first three ingredients with ice then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Use a bar spoon to float the Crème de Violette (which will sink) into the glass. Garnish with lemon peel and Luxardo Original Maraschino cherry served on a cocktail pick.

The Blue Moon
  • 2 Parts Gin
  • ½ Part Creme de Violette
  • ½ Part Lemon

Shake all ingredients with ice then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon twist.

Corpse Reviver #2
  • 1 Part Gin
  • 1 Part Lemon juice
  • 1 Part Cocchi Americano (Lillet Blanc)
  • 1 Part Cointreau
  • Dash Absinthe

Rinse a chilled cocktail glass with absinthe and toss excess. Stir all ingredients with ice then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an lemon twist.

Old Friend
  • 1 ½ Parts Gin
  • ¾ Parts Fresh Grapefruit juice
  • ½ Campari
  • ¼ St-Germain Elderflower

Vigorously shake all ingredients with ice then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with grapefruit twist.

Bee's Knees
  • 2 Parts Gin
  • ¾ Part Lemon Juice
  • ¾ Part Honey

Shake all ingredients with ice then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with flower petal or lemon twist.

Gimlet
  • 2 Parts Gin
  • ¾ Parts Lime Juice
  • ¾ Parts Simple Syrup

Vigorously shake all ingredients with ice then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with lime wheel.

Fine and Dandy
  • 1⅓ Parts Gin
  • ½ Part Triple Sec (Contreau)
  • ½ Part Lemon Juice
  • 3 Dash Bitters (Angostura)
  • ½ Part Simple Syrup (optional)

Vigorously shake all ingredients with ice then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon twist.

Gin and Tonic
  • 1 ½ Parts Gin
  • 5 Parts Tonic Water
  • 1 Lime/Lemon wheel

Add ice to a chilled cocktail glass. Pour gin over ice. Tilt the glass at a 45 degree angle and pour tonic slowly. Garnish with wheel.
